Data Privacy Policy
Email newsletter services are provided by Cyberimpact, which conforms to CASL, GDPR, and related data privacy legislation by providing double opt-in consent and easy unsubscribe functionality as well as transparency about who is sending emails to you. You can read more about their anti-spam policy here.
Unsubscribing and "Spam"
If you choose to unsubscribe in the future, please choose to use one of the provided links and do not report emails that you did in fact originally consent to receive as "spam" or "junk". Doing this is not the same as clicking "unsubscribe"! Marking as "spam" does not remove you from the subscriber list, and it is inaccurate, as that reporting function is intended for stopping email communications that you never consented to — not ones you did consent to but that you no longer wish to receive.
Reporting consensual email communications as "spam" flags those emails for everyone, and can prevent others from enjoying the newsletters because their email providers may send the emails directly to a hidden folder as "junk" and not to their inboxes. Using an unsubscribe link guarantees that you will receive no further email newsletter communication from me, and does not impair the ability of other subscribers to successfully get the emails they have chosen to receive.
